Gauss G
About the Gauss
The gauss is the CGS unit of magnetic flux density, exactly 10⁻⁴ tesla. It is named after Carl Friedrich Gauss. Fridge magnets are of the order of 50 to 100 gauss, and the Earth's field is about half a gauss.
